Viewer content purchased over PayPal works slightly differently from credit cards. Although the transaction process is started from within the player using Pay-in-Play, the viewer will be momentarily redirected to PayPal’s website to validate and complete the transaction securely. After confirming, the viewer will be returned to the player to enjoy the content they just purchased.
Processing credit cards and PayPal payments include fees and transaction charges. DaCast charges a 9.9% commission rate plus $0.40 for pay per view and subscription purchases which includes all fees factored in. These costs are automatically deducted, so there is no need to worry about having to make multiple payments to all of the companies involved.
The 9.9% commission is also negotiable for larger rates.
