When a player is themed on DaCast, this will affect every aspect of the media player. This including the coloring and look of the live chat while streaming functionality and also the many monetization features offered.
To increase pay per view and subscription monetization conversions, DaCast has developed a unique Pay-in-Play interface that is located directly in the media player. This interface allows viewers to complete payment transactions from the player itself, allowing the service to be easily transported to any existing website or service. This Pay-in-Play interface is also affected by the player theming, so any changes to color will also affect this process and match the overall look of the media player.
While the player is intended largely for video transmission, radio and audio only broadcasting is also possible with the DaCast media player. To make the normally large video player more flexible, the embed code is editable meaning that the dimensions of the player can be altered. For example, a small, sleek version of the player can be added to the site where all that is seen is a small logo and with enough room for the play/stop and volume controls.
Since being able to edit the dimensions is related to the embed code, it should be mentioned that this functionality is not available when using the player directly from a Facebook page.
