How do I embed on a Joomla site? (Legacy App)

Only the iframe embed code works with Joomla, not the JS code.

Sadly, due to added security, Joomla will remove iframe embed codes when used in the normal HTML Editor. They do this for security reasons. Because of it, though, you will have to update your editor’s settings and allow iframes.

To do this, you will have to login to your Joomla administrative dashboard first. The following instructions need to be followed (written in reference to version 3.0 of Joomla and provided by Inmotion Hosting):

  1. In the top menu, click Extensions and then click Plug-in Manager
  2. In the left menu under Filter, click Select Type and then click editors. In the list of results, click Editor – TinyMCE.
  3. At the top of the page, click the Basic Options tab
  4. Scroll down until you find the Prohibited Elements setting:Prohibited Elements
Elements that will be cleaned from the text. Do not leave empty – if you do not want to prohibit anything enter dummy text e.g.cmsThe default text is script, applet, iframe. Delete ,iframe so that the setting now reads script, appletClick Save in the top left menu.

After these steps are followed you will be able to use your HTML editor to add in the iframe Dacast embed code for your streams.
