The DaCast APIs can be used for several things, at varying technical levels.

DaCast APIs: Custom Player Options

The easiest APIs to use are the custom players. These players allow you to use JWPlayer, Flowplayer, and other players with DaCast content inside. They simply require that you replace the IDs in the player with those that are associated with your DaCast account. Here are two shortcut modules to explain this process in more detail for each player:

FlowPlayer Shortcut Module

The JW Player and FlowPlayer use the base version of the player. On the more advanced side, you can also generate a token to use in a customized JWplayer, or you can opt to use a totally different player as well. The following page describes the token process for this option:

Inside your DaCast account, there are additional APIs for use with CMS and to help develop your own site based around Dacast. The CMS use Drupal as their base. These are found inside your account, after you create an API Key.
