We are testing DaCast for our live streaming and want to know if there can be a permanent/static url for a channel. Similar to what YouTube offers https://www.youtube.com/embed/live_stream?channel=CHANNEL_ID
We would be embedding event live streams on our website and in case of any interruption due to network or hardware issues, we would like the stream to resume on the same embedded url.
I’m fully aware of how to embed the player, it is pretty simple, my question is totally different. If the stream is interrupted due to any reason and resumes after few minutes, would the steam be available at the same url? For example, Vimeo times out after few minutes of interruption, YouTube has a persistent url, so even if the steam breaks it will still be available there. What about DaCast is my question?
Thank you for sharing your question.
When you create a live channel or upload a VOD we will provide you a JS code and an iframe code. These embedded player codes will allow you to integrate your content on your website.
