Dynamic Adaptive Live Stream Transcoding and does Dacast support it? (Legacy App)

Dynamic Adaptive Live Stream Transcoding is the process that allows you to stream one HD stream to an online video platform or dedicated server, and automatically create multiple stream qualities (called renditions) by transcoding it into different bitrates and resolutions to allow adaptive playback. Then these renditions are delivered to an adaptive player that automatically selects the best one for the viewer based on their devices and quality of their internet connection.

Right now, Dacast does not support Dynamic Adaptive Live Stream Transcoding.

Dacast does provide a fully adaptive player. So to provide your viewers with the same experience, you can use the multi-bitrates method by setting up several different qualities to stream in your encoder. One of these will be selected automatically once the viewer starts to watch based on the device and quality of the internet connection.
